Co-op staff's £107,958 scores a charity double
Lincolnshire Co-operative's 2,800 staff have raised £107,958 for two charities – more than £2,000 per week during 2012.
Last year, to celebrate the United Nations International Year of Co-operatives, the society chose to support one local charity and one international charity. Plan UK will use its share of the money to help fund its project to help young people in Rwanda. The second charity, Pascal, is a co-operative of Age UKs in Lincolnshire and the money will go to various services it provides.
