Two people critical after A46 three-car crash between Lincoln and Newark

Police are looking for witnesses after two people suffered life-threatening injuries in a three-car crash on the A46 near Collingham, on September 13.

A Mazda, Volkswagen Passat and Toyota were involved in the incident that occurred at 10am.

Two elderly people inside the Passat were airlifted to Nottngham's Queen's Medical Centre with life-threatening injuries.

A woman who was a back seat passenger in the Passat was also taken to Nottingham's QMC with serious injuries, though they are not thought to be life-threatening.

The woman driver of the Mazda was taken to Lincoln County Hospital suffering serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

All four people remain in hospital and the driver of the Toyota was not injured.
