If I was a Father in Gaza

Monday, January 26, 2009, 08:00

If I was a father in Gaza

I would never sleep

For the sky showers death

And you can hear parents weep

If I was a father in Gaza

I would be on the road again

Away from the killing zone

To save my family from pain

If I was a father in Gaza

I would learn to hate

My children would be targets

And I would seal my fate

If I was a father in Gaza

My children would never see

How my heart would harden

To make my children free

If I was a father in Gaza

My loss would destroy

If I had to go through rubble

To find my girl and boy

If I was a father in Gaza

I would loose my will

I would know already

That I was ready to kill

If I was a father in Gaza

My human heart would break

My humanity would disappear

And that is their biggest mistake

Thank God I'm not a father in Gaza.
