The Five Bells is a welcoming charmingly unique Country Pub, run by Adrian, Di and Dixie Govier, serving good traditional English food, locally sourced where possible. Sunday lunch is very very popular, cooked just the way mother used to do it but without the mushy vegetables!
So be sure to book to avoid disappointment.
Parts of the pub date back to the late 18th century. A Well which was uncovered by Jenny, Adrian’s late wife and mother of Dixie, is about 18 feet deep the water level is often as high as 12 feet stands in the area between the lounge and the restaurant.
Oak beams are adorned with hops, which Adrian and Di fetch each year from Kent along with some lovely Kent wines.
Open fires make this a really cosy pub for cold winter evenings.
During the summer months you can dine in our restaurant where we have installed air conditioning for your comfort.
This year we were runners up in the taste of excellence competition run by Lincolnshire Life magazine.
Dogs and well behaved children are more than welcome.
