Our roads are worst in the country
I FULLY agree with your article on Lincolnshire roads.
As someone who has had to travel all over the country for the past 20 years, I can confidently say that I rate the A17 between Holdinham and King's Lynne as the worst road in the country.
Visiting friends always say that they know when they are in Lincolnshire as the standard of driving goes down dramatically.
In other areas (and this may just be a coincidence) the speed vehicles travel coincides with those numbers on posts beside the road. Not in Lincolnshire!
By the by, I must take you to task when you say that NK "Only has a few yards of duel carriageway –near Lincoln naturally – none of them anywhere near Sleaford".
The only decent stretch of the A17 is the dual carriageway from the Holdingham roundabout eastwards for about four miles.

“I beg to differ with Dave and Colin. I know that our roads are not the best, but have you driven in Yorkshire much. If so, you would have something to really moan about. Bryan, Sleaford”

“I agree with David, we will continue to see carnage and lack of job investment untill we get something like acceptable modern roads.”
