Top safety award for coach company
A Sleaford based bus and coach operator has been awarded the highest possible rating of 6 stars by BUSK Simply Safe Benchmark star rating scheme.
BUSK, which stands for “Belt Up School Kids” provides a long-awaited “tool kit” to educate and advise schools on transport safety to enable the schools to use reputable and compliant coach operators for their private hire requirements.
The scheme has attracted some of the UK’s best known transport companies to join in a working partnership that aims to change the culture of how schools hire coaches for trips.
Safety awareness has recently been heightened following some recent high profile road traffic accidents involving schools and it is important that those operators who do run a quality and fully compliant service have a means to demonstrate this to schools.

The BUSK scheme is independent, so rather than operators just telling schools that they are good, this can now be demonstrated by approval on the Simply Safe Scheme as it is only awarded to coach operators who meet the highest safety standards.
Sleafordian Coaches School Liason Office Sarah Tomlinson said: “We were proud to be the first Lincolnshire based bus and coach operator to be approved onto the National BUSK UK Simply Safe scheme.”
