Two schools in North Hykeham in consultation over plans to extend school day by 15 minutes
Two schools in North Hykeham are consulting with parents over plans to extend the school day by 15 minutes.
North Kesteven School and Sir Robert Pattinson Academy currently operate a school day between 8.45am and 3pm.
But under the proposed changes, that will extend to 8.45am to 3.15pm with the school day containing five lessons instead of the current four.
In a joint letter to parents, Martin Connor, head at North Kesteven School and Helen Renard, head at Sir Robert Pattinson Academy, say they are planning the changes to increase the chances of pupils achieving their targets.
