Three seriously injured in two-car smash in Lincoln

Three people have been seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Lincoln.

Paramedics, police and firefighters were called the collision, which happened on the A57 Saxilby Road, near the junction of Long Leys Road at about 4.30pm.

The incident involved a green Citroen and a silver Peugeot. One vehicle ended up in a hedge and the other in the middle of the road.

Inspector Judith Kent of Lincolnshire Police said the serious injuries were not life-threatening.
