Pamper yourself and help Haiti

Sunday, February 07, 2010, 10:00

A SPECIAL pamper day is being organised in Skegness at the end of the month to raise money for Haiti.

The event, being held at the Royal Hotel on Drummond Road, will feature a number of therapists offering alternative remedies aimed at giving guests the chance to relax and unwind.

The event has been organised by Reiki master Wendy Cresswell from the Caxton House Hotel who wanted to do something to help those affected by the earthquake which hit the country last month.

Reiki, Indian head massage, reflexology and aromatherapy are amongst the treatments that will be on offer for a suggested donation of £5.

Wendy explained: "I wanted to do something that would help Haiti and came up with this idea. It's a great way for people of Skegness to enjoy a relaxing afternoon while being able to help a cause that has touched a lot of people.

"The Royal Hotel have kindly given us use of their function room and we hope the event will be a real success with plenty of people coming along to join in."

The event will take place on Sunday February 28 between 10am and 4pm.

Any local therapists who would like to give their time to help the cause are welcome to contact Wendy on 01754 764328 to get involved.
