Round-up of the midweek action in the Lincoln Sunday League

Ivy Tavern took a massive step towards winning the Sills and Betteridge Lincoln Sunday League Division Three title as they demolished AFC West End 9-0.

Sean Cann netted four, Sean Wright scored three and Nathan Bryans and Patrick Lynch chipped in with one each.

Jamie Lawrence's penalty gave Dynamo Varsity a 1-0 victory over Metheringham 2nds, which will mean Varsity need to win their remaining games by huge margins to overcome the Ivy's superior goal difference. Branston Wagon will hope to finish third as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Harby.

The Premier Division could be all over this weekend if Welton S&SC fail to build on their 5-0 midweek win over Burtons FCW as Alex Munn, Scott Coupland, Scott Gibson, Luke Clifford and Craig Cosgrove kept the Premier Division race alive.

Chris Chapman's hat-trick in Metheringham's 7-0 thumping of Anglers FC Saxilby virtually condemns Anglers to lower status football next season. Meg's other scorers were Liam Hargrave (2), Ben Reese and Rob East.

FVA Jerusalem were 3-1 victors over Ruston Sports to enhance their claims for third place, while FSC Victory had Paul O'Rourke and Shaun Booth to thank for their narrow 2-1 victory over Hunters Leap.
