A taste of Italy in the city centre
Visitors to Lincoln city centre will be offered a taste of Italy at a mini market on Thursday to Sunday, August 8-11.
The Mamma Mia Italian Food company is bringing the event to the city's Cornhill with stall holders offering a selection of tasty treats from olives to nuts, dried fruits, and authentic breads.
Shoppers will also be able to purchase hot foods such as calzone, and there will be a trailer selling Italian sausages.
Organised by Lincoln BIG, promotions manager Michael Armstrong says hosting a variety of events in the city is all about giving people choice.

He said: "Bringing a flavour of the continent to the city helps to do that by complementing our Lincolnshire Farmers' Markets and our traditional British-style events."
The mini market will be open Thursday 10am-4pm then 9pm-7pm, to coincide with late night shopping in the city centre, then Friday and Saturday 9am-5.30pm.
