Boston United turned in a much-improved display as they held play-off chasing Nuneaton Town to a goal-less draw at York Street.

The Pilgrims probably deserved all three points after carving out the better chances although Paul Bastock needed to be alert to deny Nuneaton duo Danny Mitchley and Wesley York.

Boston thought they had won it late on when Danny Sleath's long-range effort was spilled by Town keeper Danny Alcock and substitute Leon Constantine poked home the rebound. However, the goal was ruled out after Constantine was deemed to be in an offside position when Sleath took aim.

But overall it was an encourgaging performance from the Pilgrims following a series of disappointing displays.
