Full-time: Lincoln City 2 Dartford 1
A late penalty by Colin Larkin sealed 10-man Lincoln City a priceless 2-1 win against Dartford this afternoon.
The Imps took the lead after just seven minutes when Vadaine Oliver headed in Tom Miller's cross.

The woodwork then denied Lincoln twice with Larkin rattling the bar twice within 10 seconds.
But the game then swung in Dartford's favour when Jake Sheridan was sent off just before half-time following a tackle on Lee Noble.

It gave Dartford hope for the second half and they hauled themselves level when Noble drilled home in the 76th minute.
But Larkin ensured Lincoln won their first game since ironically beating Dartford 4-2 before Christmas, slotting home from the spot after Jake Jones was fouled.

“Perhaps all posters on here should state where they were sat at a match before getting onto their match appraisal. Just a thought!”

“Could i suggest sweepclean all the pundits on here wear a badge at home games so we are all on a level playing field, and perhaps we could sit with a different pundit per game and compare notes.”

“I wasn't there (I live down South). A very important win which will hopefully improve confidence. I went to the match at Dartford where it was clear that Larkin is a talented striker. He's got a very good first touch and will come towards the ball and link play. I don't thnk you'll find Taylor or Valdane do this quite as well. Most of his games seem to be on the wing where I don't think he is as effective. Play on the floor to his feet and he's in the Jamie Forrester, Peter Graham mould. (I put Peter in for you Minty).
There is no doubt that most of the team put a shift in during most matches. Lack of effort is not the issue.
Interesting to hear of a pacey, tricky winger who creates chances and wins penalties. Jake rather than Alan Jones.
Up the Imps”

“"Hello Franky68. How institutionalised is "boys", but no doubt at your age...its all onion bag and the lads done good eh?"
Pretty similar to "passion" and "desire" that gets overused on here and by stupid so called "pundits" eh!”

“Sometimes I think on here people could have an argument about what colour an orange is.
Decent game, great win, keeps us clear of the drop and a nice boost with a run of games coming up”

“Hi Minty
The problem could be from which part of the ground we all watch the game from that we all form these different opinions. Myself and ChickenBob differed in opinion to how we thought Smith played but we could be as Bob said on opposite sides of the ground and if Nigel was posting he would probably have a different view of the game to any of us.
Probably you should wear a badge at the next home game with Minty on it so we can all stop and have a word.
But the one thing we all have in common is we all want City to do well, but at times it gets so frustrating.”

“Minty
You are entitled to your opinion of the game and how the team played and if a better team would have beaten us, even if it does go against the general consensus of opinion that the defence and the team showed vast improvement and played well considering we had ten players for 60 mins (Including injury time of both halves).”
