Full-time: Nuneaton Town 1 Lincoln City 0
Lincoln City have been plunged into the thick of a relegation dogfight after Wesley York's last-gasp stunner sealed a pivotal win for Nuneaton.
With just 15 seconds remaining, York lashed into the top corner from 25 yards to snatch all three points from a dreadful game.

Up until that point, both defences had been on top with neither side forcing the goalkeepers into a save.
The only time Lincoln really threatened was just after half-time when they enjoyed a 10-minute spell in which Jamie Taylor forced Lee Burge into a save.

It was the only save of note from the Nuneaton goalkeeper as a desperate lack of creativity undermined Lincoln's display.
The win for Nuneaton now takes them one point behind Lincoln, who one place outside the drop zone, with a game in hand.

“At Nuneaton yesterday we would undoubtedly have won the game if they had started with Sheridan and Jones in the starting line up, this man has not got a clue, trying to win games off the back of Keith Alexander, that IMO is dammed right disgusting, it seems to me thats all he talks about, must be absolutely terrible at training for the players he is not seeing what is being wasted in games, Taylor needs to be up front, apart from having a big man to play off he also has such a great understanding with Power, this is the the sort of things Simpson is missing.Come on GS respect the fact that KA has gone and,let him rest in peace. Come on man leave it out.
The worst team we have played.

“I'll try to stay positive. I planned to attend yesterday but was stymied by events in Berkshire. From what I hear we played for a draw and almost got away with it. GS said in the Echo that he would take 9 draws. Well yesterdays defeat shows what a negative approach can bring. Had we won, it would have been a launch pad, a draw would have kept us just afloat. 8 draws now will probably not keep us up. I don't think 9 points will either.
If all the fixtures are played this week we could be 3rd bottom and 3 points short of safety by 5pm on Saturday or we might be 4 points above the drop and in 17th place.
We can only control the match against Telford for which we must have a more positive approach. For me that means 4-4-2, Jones in, Smith out
Up the IMPS”

“QUIZ QUESTION: despite a massive clamour among fans for the appointment of Simpson, who posted THREE times on this site saying it would be a bad mistake to rock the boat as this stage in the season, and it would be far more sensible to give the job to Grant Brown?? Yep, your old friend George Gordon.
But it was clever move by Bob Dorrian all the same. Appoint the (wrong) candidate who is the fan's favourite, and then when we get relegated Bob can just say "it's not my fault, I was only doing what the fans wanted." (And bizarrely, from my information, the person that Bob never wanted in the first place anyway). What a crazy world.”

“It's a very very sad state of affairs which has brought this , once great and proud, club to the point of oblivion. Our only tactic now appears to be to try and stop the opposition scoring and hope that we might just get gifted a goal and sneak it. That will bring the punters flocking to the Bank to pay good money -- I think not.
The very sadest fact is that 99% of the population don't care anymore .
Anyone want to buy some good real estate just off the city centre ?”
