Two weeks to apply for Sportivate funding in Lincolnshire
Clubs, leisure centres and sports organisations targeting young people have two weeks left to apply for funding in Lincolnshire.
£40 per person is available through the Sportivate programme which has supported more than 220 clubs and organisations to offer sports sessions for children and young people across the county, since July 2011.

Lucy Blakey, Children and Young People Officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership said: “Funding is available for sports projects in Lincolnshire to encourage semi-sporty teenagers and young adults to take part in sport.
"Each county will receive Sportivate funding from Sport England until 2017 to allocate to projects to encourage young people to be active.
“It is a great opportunity to encourage young people to get involved in sport but also provides a huge financial incentive for sports clubs, schools, leisure facilities and others, to deliver more sport across Lincolnshire.”
The deadline to apply for the next round of funding for projects from April to June or July to September in 2013 is January 25.
In particular, people are being encouraged to apply if their project focuses on NEET, disability and post 16 age groups.
Sportivate is a national programme and is part of Sport England’s ‘Places, People, Play’ strategy. Find out more, or download an application form or contact Lucy Blakey by email or telephone on 01522 585 580.
